Methadone is the worst drug. There are alternative ways to detox from opiates. I experienced cold turkey withdrawals after being on methadone for 12 years (90 mg. daily). Living hell. I just started 30mg Mirtazapine for sleep; weened off Lunesta 2mg, to 1mg, to stopping. First night of 30mg Mitazapine wiped me out the next day.
